Great Looks Great Sound - But Not For Long
4 of 4 found this helpful As a travelling insomniac I wanted a DAB radio to listen to on the move and in bed at night. The Philips was the best rated best looking no speaker/headphone-only DAB radio on the market.
On the plus side its easy to use, the sound quality is excellent and it looks great. Bur not for long - the battery life is pathetic (3 - 4 hours), the earphones broke within a month, the on-off switch became unreliable after only 4 months and within 3 months of it going out of warranty the processor failed and it is beyond economic repair.Philips used to be great innovators, producing dull looking but reliable kit. Now it's great looking great sounding out of the box but under all the gloss its unreliable made in China tat that fails in so many ways one wonders why they made it all apart from the fact that gullible fools like us buy it.
