Elex II

The game is a well written continuation of the first. It picks up a few years after the end of the first game. You have been away from civilisation for a while, so you have to rebuild your skills again. There are changes in the factions in the world, as well as in the appearance of the world itself. As expected, there are new enemies and weapons as well as many of the old ones.

Greatcoats Quadrilogy, book one

This is an excellent read, the first in a quadrilogy. The books are well written and enjoyable. I have already read them and was looking to complete the set so I could enjoy them again.

A different take on the space opera.

This is an excellent series of books. It centres around an officer who was lost in space in a survival pod at the start of a war and was recovered about a century later. It follows his journey in both finding out about what has happened to the military he served in over that period and his working to safely returning the fleet he has been left in charge of to their own territory. The idea behind the series is different enough to give a fresh take on the Sci-Fi space war genre. It was enjoyable enough that I have bought the series so I can read it again at my leisure.
