Honeywell HRF-AP1E Pre-Filter Compatible with HPA100WE Air Purifier

Poor replacement, not equivalent.

Bought as this came up as an official replacement for my Honeywell HPA100WE Pre filter. Not good value for money as it is not as thick as the original sheet for one thing so won't be as effective, then also is not cut to size... It will apparently makes 8 filters for my modal however they are not easy to cut correctly as the size required dose not divide evenly onto the sheet provided causing a lot of trimmings... Also due to being poorly folded in the pack, rather than rolled up, you can not cut one single filter without a major crease about a quarter of the way in which makes it even harder to cut the filter correctly and to fit it neatly over the hepa filter.. Very bad value for an apparently "genuine" replacement in my opinion and disappointing that a simple set of correctly cut filters are not available at this price point, even if it was only 5 or 6 perhaps.

Quite nice to work with but,

Sometimes the grease gets jammed and while mucking around with the nossle bit to sort it I ruined the thread so be careful not to cross thread the nossle bit and ruin the whole thing. I may order another as I'll know to be careful now but I'm going to have another quick look at the range. Be aware the threads are a bit soft though, other than this it's quite nice to work with.

Buy if convenient, bit expensive.

Reasonably decent tools for required tasks, for the price point is quite a mark up though. Could at least be provided in a functional case instead of large over packaged tray with limited practical use, then I lightly wouldn't have felt the need to say anything...
