Excellent new details and photos of the successful assault and destruction of the guns.
Much new and personal information about those who took part, with many excellent photos. Fully authenticating the fact that the guns WERE found and destroyed, unlike the story told in a famous book and film of that very "Long" day.
Very pleased also to see that the Isle of Man Steam Packet vessel SS Ben-My-Chree is given her correct name. So often referred to in other books as "HMS Ben Machree". She was not a Royal Navy vessel, and "Ben-My-Chree" is a very popular name for Manx Steam Packet ships - the current flagship is the sixth of that name, which means "Girl of My Heart" in Manx Gaelic.
Impressed during the War, with her civilian crew, she had earlier saved over four thousand troops in three trips to Dunkirk.
Overall an excellent book.

Pyrography tool
1 of 1 found this helpful Yes, it does the job well, with a good range of tools, and it's very good value.
My only criticism is that you need to wear very thick gloves, as the handle gets too hot to hold when it's at working temperature. Don't press too hard with the narrowest tip, or it will bend.

D-Day in colour DVD, nice to keep.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a documentary, so there are no "characters" as such, so Question 3 is irrelevant, just real people going through the most traumatic experience of their lives, filmed in rare colour footage.
It made a good TV programme, and here it is on a DVD to keep.
