"Amature Hobbyists Bench Vice" would be a better title
Make it out of a stable plastic that doesn't warp or move around under load. Also provide solid rubber pads that flexible but don't sag to the point that the rifle ends up resting on the plastic supports.
Also, front support rest needs to provide about 1.5 inches more height to allow that center line of barrel to be level. I had to add 1.0 inch spacer under mine to be able to level the barrels, and that is just barely enough.
The biggest problem is the polyethylene-like plastic that is not rigid enough to do serious work like in-letting.
Its better than nothing for a hobbyist, but not near adequate for a gunsmith or craftsman.

Off shore made junk not worthy of consideration by a veteran.
Appears to be off shore made. The seller operates in good faith, but this is not the quality indicated in the listing. Oiler threads are terrible, and it will not seal; Useless.
Lift-The-Dots on pouch and sling are very cheap imitations, and not secure. This stuff is OK as a childs toy, but totally inadequate as a reproduction. I will not trust my carbine to it, or put it on. It does not represent actual GI quality.

Title is good as written.
2 of 2 found this helpful It is extremely durable, and continues to work properly under very adverse conditions. The plastic body and lid are very abrasion resistant. They are also very impact resistant and I have never broken one. The cover is easily removable for cleaning and accessing the spool. The original Stihl 25-2 is excellent. Avoid aftermarket copies; particularly those from China.
