Pilot PRERA Iro-Ai Fountain Pen Clear Blue Medium Nib FPRN-350R-TL-M +CON-40

Light, Reliable and small

I’m an artist and calligrapher, and was looking for a reliable fountain pen which wouldn’t cost a fortune. After reading dozens of reviews I chose the Pilot Prera. A lot of people have been rather condescending about this pen as it’s not fancy or gold-plated, but I like it’s clear body (you can see the ink colour) and the tip of the body and the cap are coloured (there must be 7 or 8 colours available) so you can coordinate ink colour with cap colour. The ink flow is good for drawing and writing, no problems with waterproof ink and the pen comes with a converter included if you prefer ink to cartridges. Suffice to say I now have six Preras, use them every day and love them. NB. It’s is a small (short) pen, so if you have large hands it may not suit you.
