Inexpensive and powerful... too powerful.

Good price for a powerful controller. Let me emphasize Powerful controller. I replaced a 500w controller with this and pretty immediately smoked two motors in a row. This is way too much for a geared hub motor. Looks like it took out the one way bearings on both of mine. Made a horrible noise. That isn't the fault of the controller... I got greedy with power as I was trying to get enough power to climb longer steep hills in Tacoma. I'm back to believing in bottom bracket drives that allow you to apply power through your bikes gearing.
