Very Surprised and impressed
Well this is my first by this company and having grown up with Matchbox Superfast, Corgi Juniors or Majorette cars, we were blessed with good quality in the 1970s. Opening features and durability were something we took for granted. Now at nearly 50yrs, diecast can either be really basic or the premium stuff can be nearly ten times the price of a HW Mainline.
This is something I chose because nobody elsewhere had this particular Huracan in 1/64 (or as near) so knowing I would like to add a Performante to my Hot wheels 610-4 and SuperTrofeo collections. I also have a lot of Lamborghini models in this scale and a Performante was missing.
Well, not only did the retrospective Matchbox Superfast type box impress, but also the fact the car was bagged protected it well enough.
The model itself also has Matchbox Superfast-style sprung suspension which was a pleasure as well as genuine surprise I wasn't expecting to be a feature.
Great colour, excellent details with some decent tampo front and sides as well. Was a slight pity the rear lights were left blank, but then they are not painted on the average 610-4 Huracan or SuperTrofeo as well.
Overall, even with these bits let off, I cannot put anything less than a full 10/10 rating. If you are a Lamborghini fan anyway and especially a Huracan fan, as a completist you will want one of these great models.
I would say a minus point is that the larger diameter rear wheel is clearly Tomy taking the Mattel HW path and it really is annoying for myself and many collectors. The real car doesn't have this feature (see the Ferrari 288GTO, Bugatti Chiron or Veyron by HW as classic examples of them sticking this habit) and I really wish they would see that the real cars don't feature mismatched wheels.
But with all of this accounted for, I would say that with a carefully trained eye, you can ignore this. You won't even notice that the Performante model is marginally bigger than the 610-4 because alongside one another, it really isn't that obvious. And we all know that nothing ruins a collection than different scales alongside one another.
So don't worry about this, grab one and I promise you will do what I've done and bought an identical one for a display case.....

Completely new to me.......
Very impressed by this. I haven't bought a model made by this manufacturer before, having mainly stuck to Hot Wheels/Matchbox/Burago/RMZ City & Welly diecasts.
Greenlight are completely new to me, but it seems a surprisingly accurate & fair representation of the motor used in this series. I must also mention that the series "Supernatural" is completely new to me, as my Girlfriend is a big fan of the show. I got her the model before Christmas & she is extremely pleased, being initially surprised at it's small size.
I have bought myself a model as I have a quite extensive set of 60s muscle cars & never seen a '67 Impala made by anyone else. I quite liked the touch with the opening hood/bonnet, but I would strongly recommend that when opening this feature, be very careful with the hinge when doing so.
I wasn't a fan of the car originally & we(me& my lass) had an ongoing friendly argument started about which was better between this & the 67 GT500 Shelby Mustang from "Gone in 60 Seconds"
We agreed to differ as both are equally good cars.
Is this worth the "loot"?
In a word, certainly & I have grown to like the series a bit too.
Buy it if you like
A) Muscle cars from the 60s in 1/64 scale
B) The series itself &
C) TV & Film cars in 1/64 scale.
Nice addition to a collection.
Just be aware that this is approx. 3 inches/7.5cm long & also I would strongly recommend this doesn't end up in the hands of anyone under 10YO, due to sharp edges on the hood/bonnet edge & the possibility the lid may snap off.
One for the older kids......

Better Than Expected, Especially Out Of The Box
Well, I actually bought a pair of this gem of a model. The Bluebird Wagon (Datsun 510) is always a Humdinger of a car, both visually stunning when detail is added and quite an accurate thing for the 1/64 scale. I had more or less given up in finding this, as we in the UK don't get many Car Cultures on regular sale. This was at a reasonable price and I felt I owed myself at least one premium of the wagon as I had the saloon Door Slammer in white. JDM has a very collectible following here in Britain, but so do CCs as well. I was so surprised to see this on offer, so I got a second that I could fee from its bubble. The model is nicely detailed at either end, has good overall decor and sits on a pair of nice 4spoked deepdish wheeled axles. The detail added is also a good guideline for anyone wanting to customise the regular version of the car in duplicate, something I am going to do in future. Having three other varieties in yellow, pale blue and red, this is a great contrast. Ultimately, the metal base gives this a proper edge over other variations......
