Unique Camera product and opportunity
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this camera because I do a lot of fishing and love the outdoors. I've had the camera for about 3 months now and I love it. The pictures are a little bit fuzzy, but I believe that is due to user error (working on the focusing). However, the macro is absolutely amazing, it is very user friendly, yet also amature to advance friendly. The settings can be a bit extensive, but if you have the time to set them up properly, the results will astound you.
The screen size is impressive and helpful, yet it is level with the back. I suggest a vinyl cover sheet or some protection to prevent scratches.
Software was a bit disappointing. I found that if you run Windows OS, you cannot adjust your movie properties (brightness, contrast, etc) without the purchase of a new A/V card - check with Quicktime before the purchase. I bought the new Quicktime before I checked it out.
Unless your computer's virtual memory is really fast, video that you take vertically with the camera (appears horizontal on the computer screen) will be slow when rotated to be vertical.
I'm still learning more and more about the camera's functions and have used it several times under water with great results (except indoor underwater movies -- not enough light).
Because it is new, the results are impressive at this time. I'll see what it is like this winter, maybe while ice fishing!!
Definitely a great camera for the inexperienced to the advanced. Will last a long time if taken care of.

Awesome.
Have to love the extra capacity toner cartridges. Don't have to worry about changing those messy cartridges as often.
Print clean and clear. Only color is missing. :D

Turtle Beach Amigo II USB Mic and Headphone card
This device is perfect for laptops that have a USB port, but may only have a single 3.5 mm headphone/mic jack. I have a Windows 8.1 laptop and with some program modifications I was able to record and listen to the current recording. It is an easy plug and play device that gives a clear recording and listening.
