Worth more than what I've paid for.
Whenever I get good results from audio or data CD-R's, I would have confidence in a brand name.
Out of the top names like Verbatim, Fujifilm, TDK, Philips, Optico Quantum, Imation, HP, etc., Smarbuy is another brand name added to my list. So far, I've made several audio CD-R's and they recorded (or "burned") and played back normally. I couldn't say any more about how good they are.

One nice collection from Orpheus
Orpheus made many fine recordings for Deutsche Grammophon, done without a conductor. "Tea Time Classics" would be a good CD to get introduced to that orchestra. The selections are good for background music (like dinner time, tea time and setting a "light" mood). I got some (2 of them are featured in "Tea Time Classics": Symphonies by Prokofiev, Britten and Bizet; Rossini's Overtures). If you like this "Tea Time Classics," chances are, you'll want to get more CDs with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Here's the track listing:
1. ROSSINI: Il Signor Bruschino - Overture
2. BOCCHERINI: Minuett from String Quintet in E Major, Op. 11, No. 5
3. VAUGHAN-WILLIAMS: Fantasia on Greensleeves
4. FAURE: Masques et Bergamasques - Overture
5. MOZART: Horn Concerto #4 - Romance: Andante cantabile (w/ David Jolley, horn)
6. GLUCK: Dance of the Blessed Spirits from Orfeo and Euridice
7. HANDEL: Air from Water Music
8. HAYDN / HOFFSTETTER: Serenade from String Quartet, Op. 3, No. 5
9. VIVALDI: Allegro from Flute Concerto #3, RV 428 (w/ Patrick Gallois, flute)
10. MENDELSSOHN: Intermezzo from A Midsummer Night's Dream
11. MOZART: Rondo: Allegro from Eine kleine Nachtmusik
12. SCHUBERT: Ballet Music from Rosamunde, D. 797
13. RODRIGO: Adagietto from Fantasia para un gentilhombre (w/ Goran Sollscher, guitar)
14. PROKOFIEV: Allegro from "Classical" Symphony
15. TCHAIKOVSKY: Valse from Serenade for Strings
16. BIZET: Finale: Allegro Vivace from Symphony in C

Should be back in print.
Late one night, I was listening to a radio show called "New Sounds" on WNYC. They feature some music that's different from the mainstream popular music. One of them featured the Modern Mandolin Quartet promoting "Intermezzo". The CD is classical music on Mandocello, Mandola and 2 Mandolins. After listening to the music, I made it as one of the CDs I want to get.
It wasn't until some years later that I would get the CD. Little did I know at the time, the Modern Mandolin Quartet CDs would be out of print soon. At least there are only a couple I wanted to get anyway. I could listen to them time and again. I think they should be back in print. If you like classical music, you might want to get this as well as the other "Modern Mandolin Quartet" CD... IF you can.
