2.4GHz Wireless Keyboard Remote Fly Air Mouse For Android Smart TV Box M8 MX3 PC
    07 Sep, 2017
    Amazing, especially at this price!!
Quality and feel equal to that you'd expect to receive with a good branded TV or Blu-ray/DVD player. Operationally very good too. Mouse response great, and as good as what I've used on Samsung TV. Only one quibble. Only the power and the four colour buttons are IR programmable. Like most, I'd have chosen to reprogramme the volume +/- and mute key to my TV remote but had to compromise in assigning these to colour buttons instead. Leaving the vol and mute buttons obsolete. They don't seem to do anything on my set-up at all. Apart from that, it's fab!

Another awesome little Garmin Sat Nav
About 5 years ago I bought a little Garmin from Woolworths. I chose that one because it was neat and cheaper than anything else around then. It's done me well in that time. Over the years of owning it, I've had numerous conversations about GPS with units taking people to the wrong places or via strange routes. I always ask whay brand of sat-nav they're using. I've never had the reply Garmin. I've heard all the others including the other big makes. So when the battery cover finally gave in on my Streetmate, I naturally wanted a Garmin to replace it. Choosing a discontinued model wasn't a concern of mine, as this Nuvi 1210 seemed to have things on that I wouldn't dream of using a sat-nav for anyway. Like a calculator and unit converter ?!?!?? (who knows what they put on them now) The unit is very neat and feels of quality build. It came with a seriously substantial and quality soft leather case. As well as the window mount, cigar charger and usual fare. The seller I bought from also included a mains charger, although I don't regard this as essential. I gave it it's initial 4 hour charge on this but can't imagine it making many journeys back into the house. What it didn't come with is a USB data cable. But this is a fairly standard mini-usb cable as supplied with most digital cameras, memory card readers and some mobile phones including Blackberry. So I had about 7 of them lying around. USB connection is essential for downloading new maps to the device. My unit on ebay was described as new with pre-loaded UK maps. I bought it on the presumption that it would give me the chance to download the latest maps as these can cost almost as much as a new retail unit. Sure enough, providing that the unit hasn't been registered to another user, you can register on the Garmin website and download bang up to date map-age. It took over 4 hours on my broadband connection and it failed once but it got their in the end. Dispite failing it didn't then claim that I was trying to download them twice. Navigation through the menus on the unit is simple and intuitive. I haven't tried the Bluetooth calling yet but can't imagine it's any worse than any £70 visor unit I've wasted money on. The speaker on the Nuvi seems more than capable and pretty loud at 80% volume. All in all more than worth the £47 in del I paid and even worth the £80 that shops like Halfords are currently selling it for. Highly recommended *****

Motorola G5 Case, TopACE High Quality Super Thin Flip Cases Smart Sleep for Moto
    07 Feb, 2018
Good but don't expect "smart sleep"
Good enough OEM case that I decided to try after I learned that the much more expensive Lenovo case was a wrap around case too. The previous 2 versions of this phone I've owned, 1st and 3rd gen, the official flip case replaced the whole of the phone back cover making it as low profile as possible. The 5th gen one doesn't. Making this case a very good option and can be less than half the price of the other that tends to sell between £15-20. The previous Moto G phones, with official covers, went to sleep and woke up seamlessly because of a sensor in the phone, and a strategically placed magnet in the case. It seems Lenovo have left this functionality out of this generation. This case won't "smart sleep" but that's not not through fault of the case. Apps are available to either sleep the phone, or wake the phone using the proximity sensor, though this can lead to those functions activating when you don't expect them to, so I abandoned that idea.
