Logitech C910 Webcam - USB 2.0 1920 x 1080 Video
20 Apr, 2017
Still a great webcam
Despite being superseded by the C920 and subsequent models, the C910 still boasts excellent image quality thanks to its 5MP sensor. Compare this to the C920's 3MP sensor and it becomes apparent why videos are so sharp and detailed. Frame rates are good even at 1080p, and the device manages 30fps at 720p. Many still prefer the C910's video quality over that of the C920, and while I don't yet own a C920, I'm extremely happy with the earlier model. I use two of these cameras (actually a B910 which is identical the the C910 reviewed here) with Open Broadcaster Studio and despite being warned that dual Logitech webcams would be problematic to set up, I experienced very few difficulties and for these reasons I can still heartily recommend the device.

Mic Desktop Microphone Suspension Stand Studio Broadcast Boom Scissor Arm Holder
02 Sep, 2020
Nice stand, shame about the desk clamp.
I bought this mic stand as a mobile mount for a webcam, so I knew I would have to make some modifications. Unfortunately, the supplied desk clamp is USELESS (bends out of shape when you tighten it up), and I ordered a couple of sturdier clamps to try as replacements. I'm happy with the setup now (see photo of the decent clamp I ended up using), but only buy this if you're not going to be moving it around much, or if you're prepared to buy the stronger desk clamp separately. The stand itself is absolutely fine, and I was able to affix the webcam using some action cam mounting brackets without problems.

Retro computing gamble paid off
One of my hobbies is restoring and upgrading old Atari 8-bit computers, and I was looking for another Compact Flash card which would work with the MyIDE hard disk interface for the Atari XL/XE. Although there's no way of knowing which cards will work with the IDE interface until you try them (via a CF/IDE adapter also bought on eBay), the Sandisk Ultra II 1GB CF card had been recommended by another Atari enthusiast, so I decided to look for one. They're hard to find in the UK, but this used example was obtained at a great price and arrived in excellent condition. Sure enough, it works perfectly with the old 8-bit machine, too, so all in all it was a sound purchase. I'm just looking for another one now, so I can have a matching pair in a dual CF/IDE adapter!
