4 Port VGA Switch 4 way VGA SVGA Manual Metal Switch Box 4 into 1 Female 15 Pin

Does what is says on the box
I bought this box to switch the VGA output from two retro computers to a single VGA monitor. The computers, an Acorn A3020 and an Acorn A5000, are both very fussy about which VGA cables to use to connect to monitors. Modern VGA cables will not work. I bought this box as it looked 'retro' and matched similar printer switch boxes I had and which were good quality. The box works perfectly, switching between computers without losing signal. Even a modern VGA cable between the box and monitor works with the older cables linking the computers to the box. In addition to the VGA connectors the box also switches 5-pin DIN connectors on the back and so could be used to switch older 5-pin DIN PC keyboards although I have not tested this.

    Fully featured PDA
When this PDA came out it was one of the most versatile PDAs on the market, lacking only a camera. I bought mine from new in 2004 having chosen it because it featured bluetooth, infra-red and WIFI connectivity. It also can accept an SD card up to 2Gb capacity. The machine was very easy to set up and use. I used to use it to manage the network in the school where I worked through the WIFI connectivity. It would also send documents to our HP network printer. The included Word and Excel software were also valuable and useful packages. Even today I use this PDA in preference to Smartphones. It uses a resistive touch screen that responds to pressure. This I find more accurate and intuitive. Using the on-screen keypad is faster and less error prone. The machine also features handwriting recognition which is amazingly accurate for taking notes at meetings. The processor is fast and there is no lag in operations that sometimes plague modern smartphones. The major uses to which I put this PDA today include an ebook reader, a data safe for all my passwords, a TomTom satnav device (linked to a bluetooth GPS receiver), a games machine, address book, mp3 player, high end calculator emulating the HP41C series of calculators and a notepad. Using the included USB connector and dock the machine can easily synchronise with my laptop and the dock also allows easy transfer of music and ebooks. There is a vast amount of software available for free download from the internet to run on this PDA. I have even written my own Visual Basic applications using the free embedded Visual Basic SDK from Microsoft. For a retro PDA experience this machine cannot be beaten. It is, however, not a contender for modern requirements. Its screen resolution of 320x240 with 64K colours is limiting when viewing photographs or videos. The included Internet Explorer is seriously out of date and will not handle modern web pages. There is no on-board digital camera. Nevertheless I love the machine and will go on using it for many more years to come.

It is a printer cable. It does what it says on the box.
