Works well IF you follow the directions!
I have two. I use them to operate pole lighting with multiple bulbs. It does work with my Google Home app once you add the plug and AFTER you download the plug app using QRC and your camera. Be sure to have a QRC free reader installed on your phone or tablet.
It's not quite as versatile through Google Home Control as the smart light bulbs are.
There seems to be no dimming or "moods" or scenes, as Google Home calls them..
If you need something to operate multiple "dumb" devices", this works fine. I'd rather have smart bulbs to operate single smart bulbs.

Safety, quality, and it works!
I now have 6 of these and I am ordering more. The 4 D cell batteries seem to last for a year or more.
I have one on every corner of my house, work shop and 4-car garage, as well as one inside the worshop.
The light coverage is huge and the brightness is astounding.
The installation takes 5 minutes if you have a cordless drill.
I pre-drilled smaller bores and then used a Philips head on the little cordless drill. It installs very tight and snug and has water protecting gaskets.
I go outside just to see them work at night.
The light and the base are both adjustable. Some of them I hung, some I placed on the side of a wall and one I installed upside down.
It's all very easy.
I took down my "bugger lights" that run on electricity and are motion activated. I no longer use exterior lighting that is wired. I've save a great deal of money in a year because neighbors pets activated the ones I had that are corded.
Get two at least!!! I have one pointed at my front entrance and I can now see who's there using my camera system I bought on eBay. Life is good!
