Almost there..... but not quite.
I am new to the Phonak ComPilot Air II Remote abilities with a recent purchased of a pair of BT Phonak hearing aids (Model: CIC - Virto V Nano). There is a good bit of pros and cons for this setup...just like any critical sensory device setup. I do believe the remote could be a lot better in performance. The look and feel of the remote is sleek, but the BT connection between the remote and aids are a bit clumsy and could be much better. The biggest downfall is how close the remote needs to be to the hearing aids. Approx 6 to 12" in range and this becomes rather frustrating. However, CIC hearing aids are rather small and perhaps BT technology for the CIC aid is till being adjusted? It's hard to imagine that the BT connection range is satisfactory at this point for users of this setup. I love the overall plan and concept, but still needs work with range, quality of sound and remote placement options. I can't complain too much though. This setup has changed my life thus far and I'm partially satisfied, but I know it "could" be much much better. I am able to connect to a SmartTV with BT capabilities or by connecting a BT transmitter to a TV's audio out and connect to the transmitter. Obviously listening to music or videos on my Galaxy Samsung S9+ has been great, with the exception of occasional signal interference. Be careful how many BT devices are in your surroundings, because other signals will interfere with your signal. I like the fact that I can connect up to two different BT devices and the remote indicates (by the sequence of flashes) which device it is connected to. I like the fact that my vehicle's SYNC controls are compatible with my aids. Answering calls and talking freely on the ComPilot Air II remote has been great. The remote can pause music/videos, mute a phone call, connect to a computer's (assuming PC has BT functionality) audio source and it seems there could be other fun undiscovered abilities I have yet to experience. It's also nice to see the amount of accessories available for this setup. Options are so comforting to have since hearing loss is such a major depression kicker. I appreciate the work and focus being done for hearing loss, but my only complaint for this setup is that the remote needs to have it's BT signal enhanced in ways of distance and quality. The fact of needing to have the remote so close to the hearing aids is unacceptable and has to be the biggest overall complaint by any user of these devices. It is clear that this technology is still being worked on and will get better in the future.

Not that great....
Drops connection often and when connected constant static/crackling going on. Wouldn't recommend.
