saved my cycle frame from the scrap heap
my cycle was heading for the tip, a stuck bottom bracket would not shift despite everything recommended on the internet, including attaching a 6 foot scaffold pole to the removal tool! I got it off in the end with a hammer and chisel-and a hacksaw. The treads were ceased, and had some damage from the hacksaw-had been trying to get if off for nearly 2 weeks. Caught a youtube clip talking about threadless bottom brackets-found this one on ebay-its fitted, very smooth and should I have the horror of doing a BB again will fit this sort. The idea of having the BB attached to the frame at the part of the cycle that will get the wettest if not good, with this one the treads are internal and it threads to itself, not the frame-can only find YST but very happy with it
