Odd tool, several weaknesses.
0 of 1 found this helpful The saw is powerful, but the scrolling mechanism is poorly designed and its locking mechanism is weak. The blade lock is counterintuitive and is made out of weak potmetal. If you tighten it securely you run a severe risk of splitting it. If it is split, the blade lock is actually part of an assembly that is no longer available. It cannot be removed from the "sawbar."
Since the saw is not orbital, it is obsolete.

Super car!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great car. It is reliable as the day is long and with a manual transmission (and in good tune)it gets around 40 mpg. Unlike the previous reviewer I HAVE owned this car (several). It has 12 inch wheels which are difficult to find tires for nowadays locally (I use tirerack.com). It says "Ford," but was designed by Mazda (Overseas it is called a Mazda 121), it was manufactured by Kia (Korea). Many parts are available for it at Mazda dealers as it has a Mazda B3 engine in it. It hauls a lot of stuff with the rear seat down (lawnmowers, full size bicycles, a full size acoustic Bass, etc). You can actually get an 8' 2X4 INSIDE the car (I've done it). It is simple and inexpensive to maintain and repair. The Kia, Ford and Mazda people really did a good job with this one. It is the first vehicle I've owned that the odometer doesn't go back to zero until 999,999 miles (which must mean they had great expectations for the car's longevity and durability).

Great Little Car
3 of 3 found this helpful I've owned this car and I REALLY liked it. It was reliable, good, inexpensive, no frills transportation. It always gave close to 40 mpg and could really haul a lot of cargo with the rear seat down. If I were you I'd hold out for a post 1990 Festiva because they ALL came with Fuel Injection, whereas only the automatics prior to 1991 had that and all the rest had a carburetor. The car was very simple to work on. By the way, this is actually an AMERICAN marketed Ford, designed by Mazda (Model 121), manufactured by Kia (in Korea). It has a Mazda B3 engine.
