Nice portable antenna!
1 of 1 found this helpful Definitely quality materials and workmanship. After downloading the English version of the instructions it was simple and straightforward to deploy. I made a bracket on which to mount the antenna which in turn mounts to my transit tripod. I own about 6 Comet products and am happy with each and everyone! This antenna does require a little fiddling with to get dialed in, but once there it preforms great. 20 meters seems to be the lowest swr of the 9 bands available. I was able to achieve 1.3 on 20, 1.7 on 80 meters and 1.5 on 40 meters. I didn't try the other bands. Overall I would recommend this antenna for a portable backup antenna... I do not intend to use it primarily, as it doesn't preform as well as my efhw or even my random wire, but it's small, compact, lightweight and works good enough to carry on the trail as an option or emergency backup.

Awesome base station antenna
Of all the comet products I own, this is my favorite aside from my CAA-500 Mark II antenna analyzer. This antenna is superb and has low swr across entire bands (< 1.6). Lightweight and strong, I mounted it up at 23 feet with a separately purchased ground plane kit. I have no troubles hitting any of the repeaters in my country, some as far away as 60 miles. Always get a great signal report. It's been up for about 5 months now and it still looks brand new. We will have to wait to see how it stand up to the winter storms and winds. Overall I recommend this antenna.
