Canon ixus 100review
I was amazed by the small size of this camera, it looks neat and can always be in my pocket. I wanted HD video and good stills. I am impressed with both. The software that comes with the camera includes simple editing for the video, you can even trim clips in the camera releasing card space. For more advanced editing, I converted clips to pro res or DVC pro HD for editing in Final Cut Pro. The zoom is quite limited and there can be a lot of wind noise but is it's not windy the sound is very good. The camera plays sound and video via HDMI to my tv with excellent quality. Video is 30 fps I have previously made NTSC dvds because converting to 25 fps loses some quality. I expect to finish movies on sd cards now and play on a computer so frame rate is not important.

Clock batteries
Duracell batteries usually last well. These are for a clock.
