Good for around family trip, not good for professional use.
They're good for everyday family use, but that's about it. I bought them for communication at work for working around aircraft in a maintenance hangar (no engines running) to ensure that there are no personal around hydraulic flight controls. The sound is somewhat distorted and unclear. You have to speak extremely clear into the mic to make it intelligible on the receiving end. Clear communication is the key to safety around aircraft. I think these radios will be brought home for entertainment and family trips... The search continues for a reasonable priced two way radio for work...

Smittybilt make quality products...
I've used Smittybilt products for over 95% of my jeep build. From rock guards and winches to bikini tops and tonneau covers... They make a very good quality product for a very reasonable price.

Charging port crapped out in less than 2 months. on both phones I bought for my teens... And my kiddos take care of their stuff... Teen girlie says it took crappy pictures too... We went back to Samsungs...
