HTC Desire- the iphone killer? you better believe it!
The HTC Desire has been touted as THE iphone killer and it more than lives up to that tag. Everything the iphone can do the Desire can do better and faster.
The HTC sense UI adds a layer of sweet smelling chocolate over the Android 2.1 build and gives the user so many ways to customise the look of the device you will be dizzy with the possibilties. The web browser is fantastic, allowing the viewing of Flash video content unlike Apples Safari browser( the proposed update to the Android 2.2 build will enable Flash 10.1 on the device, which mirrors the desktop use of Flash video on mobile device browsers).
The Desire is super fast with its 1ghz snapdragon processor, the screen is a joy to look at and use with super sharp video.
The camera is one of the best on a HTC device too with the LED flash and customisable settings akin to that of a mid range digital camera.
As someone who has used a jailbroken iphone 3GS for over 12 months now i can vouch for how better the Desire is compared to the Iphone
The android app store isnt as well stocked as Apples offering but everything i had on my iphone i can get on the Android app store.
a minor hindrance is that apps can only be stored to the onboard 512mb RAM at the moment, although google have recently announced that this will be rectified very soon, possibly with an update over summer 2010.
If you have any doubts that this phone isnt up to the tag iphone killer, rest easy, its better than the iphone in so many areas!!!
