Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ8 digital camera
5 of 5 found this helpful Most digital cameras have tiny fiddly controls, tiny screens, and poor quality miniature lenses. The price you pay for miniturisation is difficulty in use and poor quality pictures. The mid-size Panasonic DMC fZ8 has a quality chunky size which "feels right" in the hand, the buttons are all quite manageable, and the Leica lens is of superb optical quality. Ok, it isn't pocket size, but the cameras on phones nowadays are ok for snaps, whilst the FZ8 is a proper camera. As this is my first digital camera, I was very pleasantly surprised with the intuitive easy to use controls, and on-screen instructions. A lovely, high quality, easy to use unit which has already produced some stunning photos, I am delighted in every way with this amazing camera. highly reccomended, James

Corless drill repack
My faithful cordless drill had a weak battery, and eventually died and stopped charging.
Not wanting to discard the drill, I unscrewed the battery pack screws, and pulled it apart to find lots of battery cells soldered together.
I purchased new cells, and spent a happy hour at the kitchen table with a soldering iron, flux, solder, and a hot melt glue gun.
Taking careful note of the old battery pack for guidance, the new cell pack quickly took shape, and fitted nicely into the old battery plastic casing.
(the new batteries are very slightly narrower than the old ones!)
A couple of hours on charge and the drill was once again working and holding charge.
A perfectly working drill at a fraction of the cost of a new one, RESULT!

Excellent strong, powerful. I use it all year round in a spray bottle, easy quick and effective.
