Long lasting with a good binding agent
1 of 1 found this helpful I make my own strops and this product fits me very well. It is easy to apply, will last me a long time and does a very good job when it comes to making my straight razors extra sharp.
My only complaint is that it, maybe because how I use it, end up a bit streaky leaving the strop with a less than even finish. So far I have not seen any real bad results from the honing but it makes the strokes a bit uneven and I need to keep my stropping speed down a bit.
As a general comment I recommend the use of disposable gloves since the product will end up on your fingers and it will go everywhere on account of being so slick and easy to transfer. Also keep in mind that any engravings on a blade will end up with some green in them so take care when cleaning your blade after honing.

Sturdy with great reach
This is a very good way to be able to use the kitchen sink when sharpening.
The shoulders and the bottom lock are easy to adjust and the parts fit well enough to be sturdy but still allow for simple adjustments.
The only thing that I find negative is that the bottom shoulder screw is hard to reach without flipping the unit over and it has a tendency to loosen. I'd suggest adding a washer to make it easier to get a good lock without stressing the threads or knob.

Light, covering and easy to work with
This is a product that fits me rather well. I have rough stubble but also some areas with extra sensitive skin so I benefit from a thorough massage of the skin with a pre shaving cream. I also make sure to follow it up with a hot towel to really help the cream do its work.
The cream is slick enough to be easy to work with but, when using it on my skin, it leaves an almost dry layer of product on my fingers and seems to have lost all of its silky feel.
I would not be surprised if this is a result of the combination of my skin type and hand dryness but it takes away that last bit that would have made it easy to rate it five stars.
