Wds bridge replacement
I needed to find a solution to get an internet connection to a youview box that does not have WiFi. I had been using a WDS bridge with a couple of spare draytek routers but the new ISP supplied router did not support WDS. After looking at a number of extenders I went for the edimax n300 mini as it came with an ethernet port and supported WiFi bridging.
Configuration was easy and it connects to your existing access point as any WiFi client would do, a major benefit of this approach is that the bridging is done within the n300 mini so avoiding the WDS half duplex performance hit.
The only downside I have found is with the optional app , which does not support ap or bridge modes so configuration needs to be done from a laptop / tablet or PC , however once set up these are pretty much fit and forget.

Funny story loosley based around UK Pirate Radio Stations of the 1960's
A very funny romp through mid 60's England as viewed through slightly rose tinted glasses of producer/director Richard Curtis. The pirate radio ship "Radio Rock" serves as the backdrop for an intertwined tale of romance and antics of the DJ's and crew during those halcyon years.
If you are expecting a docu/drama of the Pirate radio story then you will be dissapointed - while a few factual incidents are portrayed - reality is not allowed get in the way of enjoyable story - and Frinton on Sea does not make for high drama !
Bill Nighy turns in a very apt performance as the Station Manager, and the cast of Nick Frost,Ken Branagh,Rhys Ifans,Phil Hoffman really seem to have had a ball making this.
As expected the soundtrack is stunning and serves to remind us all of that musical golden age.
Although this prodcution appears to be aimed at late teen onwards audience, many of us of a "certain age" who grew up during the Pirate Radio era will also find this very enjoyable. I did!
