Great educational tool and easy to assemble
1 of 1 found this helpful Easy to build but suggest you get smaller more robust plastic box which will make it easier to use and more durable. You can then also add headphone socket as these would be better than speaker for night time use.

Low cost alternative
Fits well and looks similar to real product, just hope lasts as long as if they do then big price advantage

Electronics same as my B&Q fan but electrical connectors reversed
While the electronic box had the same part number and identical male and female connector they were reversed in polarity.(Mains in now fan out) Could not even reuse them so had to cut off old connectors and re solder them to this box wires. It now works well.
Suppose was for different make of fan but why are connectors reversed between makes even though electronics are identical?
At least it fixed problem.
