An underrated entry in the film series.

If you really want to see the O.T characters in a big screen format: this is their finest hour and forty-five. It's even got the best Klingons, ever; although, be aware the disc DOESN'T feature translation for their scenes: you'll have to switch to subtitles....or, actually rip them with subtitles and insert them into the film: as I did! A bit tricky (in a couple of places) but well worth the effort.

Low-key/classy, 70's action-thriller!

If your a fan of the Bond films "Thunderball" and "O.H.M.SS" or that "North Sea Hijack" with Roger Moore, then you should LOVE this one. Credible action sequences and plenty, wry humour, plus a (rare) early starring role for Anthony Hopkins. Great stuff!

Still the best version...

Way better than it's routinely judged (sorry!) Judge Dredd is truly the ultimate 2000AD comic adaption. The 2012 version is just a generic action film - compared to this 96 version. No comparison, really. Sure, Stallone takes off the helmet (understandable/unnavoidable, considering) but apart from that, he's totally awesome. The trouble for Urban was he had to ACT tough....where Stallone simply IS tough! Seriously, don't listen to all the detractors - Judge Dredd rocks.
