Gem or paste?

Good but bad.
1 of 1 found this helpful The problem with this product is not the product itself, but the bike which it supports. These days bikes have their brake cables running beneath the cross bar, which is what the bike hangs from on this stand. Thus the cable is compressed by the weight of the bike, not a good feeling.
I have wrapped the 2 supporting 'U's' in bubble wrap several times around so that some of the weight is taken by the cross-bar and not by the cable itself. Perhaps an option would be to include cladding (such is available on surf board racks) for the 'U's' with the product?
