easy horsepower!
i had 2 dual cores at 2.65 and went to 2 quads at same speed ,great improvement and no issues to do it

perfect chip to max out an imac
2 of 2 found this helpful I upgraded a lowly 2011 imac 21" from its i3 to this i7 which was the fastest it would support.. runs great 4 cores and 8 threads...ssd and 16gb ram makes it very fast... temps with the 2600s version are low at abt 35c....do not try using the regular 2600 with the higher base speed becus it Will run too hot for the thermals in the 21" case
