A valuable resource and a great read.
Anyone interested in the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit would enjoy going through Tolkien's letters. You can follow the whole story from the beginning through the arduous publishing details, and then the aftermath with his own clarifications.

Irving Berlin's Easter Parade.
Fred Astaire came out of retirement to join with Judy Garland in a wonderful musical. Judy Garland never looked better especially when she sings the title song in the finale. Astaire's "Stepping Out with My Baby" with three talented dancing partners is one of his great dance routines.
The DVD set includes some excellent commentaries.

A great book by a great author
The late Rona Goffen was a great scholar. Any book by her on the art of the Renaissance is a must read and "Giovanni Bellini" is no exception. She surveys the whole life of the great Venetian artist and provides scholarly, in-depth commentary on each painting. She was also a skilled writer and the book can be enjoyed by anyone interested in Venice and its art.
