Top Shakespear production.
What I am writing is not new. This is one of the best, if not the best, production of McBeth. Just as with Ran (King Lear) Kurosawa has taught how to present Shakespear's works.

Focus on one key event.
It would be great if Hollywood could produce anything even remotely approaching the quality of this movie. The characters are convincing, the story line is easily to identify with. In spite of the seriousness of the topic, there are many hilarious incidents to keep the narrative from becoming depressing. Great movie.

Inspiring, perhaps overwhelming.
