Great classic drama
This is a 2002 ITV remake of the classic drama serial originally in black and white on the BBC in 1967. The remake is of course in colour and looks stunning on a modern TV. The acting, led by Gina McKee and Damian Lewis, is superb.
It is a story of love and jealousy between different branches of a very wealthy family spanning several generations around 1900. It is not a happy story, but it is gripping.
