Expensive, well engineered but some details poor
The good things are that the rack is very solid, although it does weigh a good deal. It attaches well to the back of my C class estate and will carry three bikes relatively comfortably. The materials are good and everything bolts together smoothly if you have a run through before actually building it as it only comes partially constructed.
The bad things are that the rubber clip-ins for the bike clamps have tiny little "needle" extensions that pull through the body of the clamp. These are far too delicate and I broke at least two as I pulled them into place. For this bit in particular the instructions were poor as the inserts are handed which is not at all clear. Generally the instructions are just about okay but cram a lot of information into graphics with very little explanation. The end inserts for the channels that support the bikes push in and I felt they not very well secured and sure enough when the rack fell over, one of them fell out. I have since glued them in but it is a small detail that for this price should have been done better. Although the clamps are very solid, the way the large bolts pivot uses a small cylinder of plastic that looks vey flimsy and falls out far too easily. I can imagine these getting lost in the garage very quickly if the rack gets moved without paying enough attention.
Therefore in summary, a solid piece of kit that will last but some poor detailed design lets the overall product down for this amount of money.

One of my top ten of all time
I have had this on vinyl for a long time. The interplay between the musicians is stunning with Cobham's drumming extending into synth work than changes one's perception of what a drummer can do. Jan Hammer and Tommy Bolin do some stuff that I simply adore. They trade licks without trying to play faster than each other, rather layering on melodies. Not to say they aren't playing fast but I get a sense of two egos (Bolin at least was apparently not shy about his talent) giving the other space and time to get out the music. Bolin adds some lovely chops and some of his work leaves me breathless. This is jazz and rock and funk all blended and I think a test of a good hifi system. There are no vocals and some of the drum/synth work may be a little inaccessible. If I have any criticism it would be a lack of slower tracks that allow the lead musicians to expand in a more gentle way. But these guys were going for shooting stars not reflections in a pool..... Simply beautiful!
