The Color Purple (1997, DVD)
1 of 1 found this helpful I had never seen the movie and a friend of mine had raved about it for years. He finally wore me down and I started shopping for the movie and couldn't find it anywhere. I finally thought to check e-bay and sure enough, the DVD was there so I bought it and have since watched it. It's an excellent movie and I'm glad I finally listened to the ranting of my lunatic friend.

1975 Buick LeSabre convertible
1 of 1 found this helpful It was one of the easiest purchases I've made on ebay. I had been searching for a big American convertible of the '70's and every one started looking the same. They were mostly red with white interior or one of several shades of blue with white interior or some other wierd color with a white interior; not at all what I wanted.
I found the perfect car, my medium orange metallic Buick with a buckskin interior and bid on it in early may. I didn't bid really high but I kept watching it until I went into the hospital. While I was in the hospital, the ad ran it's course and I didn't know what happened to it.
At this point I contacted the seller who told me it didn't sell and he was relisting it. Because I remembered what his buy it now price was when it was first listed, $9,500.00, my first bid was a few hundred dollars less,$9,100.00 and when the auction was finished, I was the high bidder!!
I absolutely LOVE the car. I've given it a major tune-up, dual exhaust and a new buckskin top is being installed next week. It runs and drives flawlessly and get rave reviews everywhere it goes...the color combination is TRUELY SPECTACULAR.
My words of wisdom to all ebayers is not to settle for something kinda like what you want, hold out because what you REALLY want is just around the corner.
