Plainsong by Kent Haruf (First Edition, Like New) Hardcover Book

Compelling story and characters created in an economy of words but not an economy of emotion.
No one writes like Kent Haruf and I can't believe I haven't read his work until now. After reading Plainsong I am delving into the rest of his novels, mostly about a small plains town in Colorado. Character development is amazing using an economy of words; he almost never tells us what his people are feeling but we know almost magically their thoughts and the emotional impact of living their varied lives. I love these books!
