Good extractor but needs better holder for a standard WBC / National super
1 of 1 found this helpful Well made product that requires minimal assembly (only need to attach the legs.) Handle and rotating gear mechanism is solid and works well.
There are a couple of issues
1) The gate for the honey to flow out is about 1cm above the bottom of the drum. This seems to be an issue with all honey extractors and I don't know why that is the case. After extraction there is a pool of residual honey which means the whole extractor needs to be tipped forwards for that honey to get out.
2) A standard WBC / National super does not sit well in the rotating holders. The holders are too large and so although the super stays in, the edge of the wooden frame sticks out and catches on the inner wall of the drum and so it makes it more difficult to rotate.
