Excellent antenna for indoor and mobile use.
1 of 1 found this helpful Works well both indoors and as a mobile antenna for my Scanner. I generally use it as an indoor antenna on a window ledge in an upstairs study room to listen to airband transmissions. Comes well packaged and is very easy to assemble. The magnetic base is strong and rubber coated.

EXCELLENT VALUE SCANNER WITH LOTS OF FEATURES
4 of 5 found this helpful I bought this Scanner for around £130 and think that it represents excellent value for money. Of all of the Scanners made by different manufacturers that I have owned over the years, I think that this one is the easiest to programme and operate. I particularly like the large, easy to read display and the ability to name ('Alpha Tag') stored channels. My negative observations are fairly minor, but I would have liked the Scanner to operate on three or four AA batteries, rather than the two which it runs on. This would give a longer operating time between re-charging or changing batteries. Also, it would have been useful to have a port for an external power source to run the set when at home etc. The performance of the Scanner will also be improved by fitting a better aerial such as a Nagoya NA-771. All in all, this is an excellent, compact Scanner which at the price takes some beating!
