Terrible waste of money on someone's flimsy flight of fancy.
1 of 1 found this helpful A wasted opportunity to capture, record and present the reality of WW2 in West Merioneth. hardly any research evident, a dearth of photographic evidence and a waste of my money! I am livid.
No photos of the RMs and their camps and activities, no photographs of the all so important RAF Llanbedr, only one photograph of the vital amphibious warfare training unit (one of their DUKWs) at Towyn, no photos of Morfa airfield and the aircraft or personnel, a paragraph on Tonfanau camp and the AA artillery (no photos) when there should have been a chapter....oh, I could go on forever. Much of the structures remain today; it's as though the author couldn't really be bothered to get out of bed and do a proper job.
Others before him have done a better job; their books and pamphlets are readily available.
Do not waste your money and time on this book.

Look elsewhere for British Army Matador stuff!
