This works well if you pay attention to a couple details. Secure the wiring leading from the battery pack to the motor unit. By secure, I mean coil the excess wire into a coil perhaps 2" in diameter. Then draw that into a straight coil (rather than round), and clip that coil to the back of your cabinet, free from being touched or bumped by anything under there. I clipped mine using plastic "strain reliever" loop with one end screwed to the cabinet, and the other free. That allows you to slip the coil in and out of the loop if you need.
When you have that coil properly secured, you'll be free of "phantom" squirts. All this applies to the Delta touches faucet too. On both, a tidy, secure installation will yield very reliable operation.

Great - But Learn to Use It
We love these faucets (just bought a 2nd for another kitchen), but you have to learn how to use them. The key thing is to keep them clear of water drops, especially around the base, where a little accumulation of water often forms. Also, keep the wires from the battery pack securely bundled and clear of anything that may bump or move them. Both are easy to do. This will eliminate any spurious behavior, like the faucet turning itself on. If that were to happen, it’s programmed to shut off after 4 minutes. This all may sound complicated, but it isn’t. The convenience is great, and it saves water as well.
