This May Very Well Be Worth It...
1 of 1 found this helpful While I do think that the price is absurdly high, getting a refurbished model that works perfectly for about $100 less than brand-new was a good move. In terms of my own priorities, noise-level was on par with fan-functionality and in this respect the product delivers--this is a quiet fan (not silent, but quiet).
Two other things:
--I placed the fan in front of an elderly a/c wall unit that is slotted in an awkward, inefficient spot and activated the Dyson's "swing" function and the combo has been transformational. The fan has transported the cool air from the a/c all throughout the room, even using its lowest setting.
--As a householder with pets, there is considerable ease of mind in leaving my home with this fan running. No blades or discernible moving parts to cause possible harm or excite attention.
