Horses, mystery and intrigue
Bought this as mother panicked when she thought she had lost her copy. Immediately found the book she thought she had lost...
I decided to read it and it is certainly a compelling read. Granted a bit dated, but nonetheless I found it difficult to put down, though I did keep getting interrupted!
Mystery, intrigue and the Lipizzanas. Mary Stewart is a good story teller and has researched her subjects well.
I have not yet finished but there are twists to the plot that keep you gripped.
Definitely recommend. There is a romantic line through the story but not slushy and the horses are central to the plot.

Accurate and reasonably priced thermometer
If you can get round the initially complicated display and instructions it seems easy to use and for those you do not want to put a thermometer in their mouth, the forehead version is a viable alternative to the much more expensive ear ones.
You can test air/room temperature too, on a different setting which is quite useful.
Seems accurate and certainly better than the infrared pointing ones which are notoriously inaccurate!

Works well with extra washer
I'm new to wood turning and have struggled to get organised with sharpening tools. This is finally a grinding wheel the right size and colour and reasonably fine. The bushes I ordered (luckily) fit ok but I needed to fiddle a bit and add another washer to get the wheel to run true without vibrating. It would have been better if the centre was 1/2 inch to start with to do away with the need for any bushes. I would have had to order bushes after the wheel had I not looked at the thing and seen that it needed them before ordering.
I do find I need the diamond conditioning tool I got elsewhere too as the wheel is quite soft but my tools are now sharpened without too much heat which I gather is a GOOD THING!
There is a lot more to this wood turning business than I first thought and certainly all grinding wheels are not the same even when they are the same diameter! Steep learning curve and expanding budget, but this grinding wheel was a good purchase.
