Family Guy Presents: Road to the North Pole DVD

Family Guy is for adults only. Do not be misled. It looks cute and homely, and inadequately drawn in an amateurish way; but it has bite. The styles of humour range from bawdy and broad to incisive and pointed. Its is dark, bleak, and at times black. But it like a Christmas Carol it shines light on the truer meanings of Christmas. And it pays to be familiar with a wide range of popular culture over the past 100 years to get all the gags. The songs are well constructed and choreographed, and flow as naturally as anything can from a somewhat surreal take on the original Road To films of Crosby and Hope. I would recommend it to any one who wants to be knowingly reminded of the realities that support our tinsel covered illusions of a Christmas that is to be enjoyed no matter what the cost. Loath it or love it; you will remember it. 10/10.
