Excellent Pen
1 of 1 found this helpful This is the second Jinhao 599 I've bought because the first one was a medium nib and this one included a fine one. I've tried both nibs side by side and can't really see a difference between them. The fine nib looks narrower but still writes with the same line width as the medium nib.
I've decided to live with the shortcomings as it's an excellent writer anyway and I think it looks good. There's no way anything else comes close for the price.

Great for the car
2 of 2 found this helpful I always wanted a big ball compass for the car and this is excellent for the price. I went for this one as it has the compensators built in which is necessary to allow for the steel car body. I adjusted it to the north star in an empty carpark and it appears to have retained an accuracy of about 8 degrees deviation (around 2% error) when checked against the 4 cardinal points. I didn't believe a magnetic compass in a car would be nearly this accurate!

Just the job.
Hinges are fine but it would be nice if the supplier showed the thickness of the leaves.
