I love this machine!
3 of 3 found this helpful I got this kitchenaid 600 to take over the jobs that were too much for my classic model. I've been making all of our bread for several months and my little classic was struggling with the stiff dough. It also couldn't contain the dough for two loaves with its smaller bowl. That little workhorse has served me well for over 10 years, but she just can't handle the bigger tasks. So I purchased the 600 and it's made a huge difference. This machine kneads the dough much more thoroughly and efficiently. Breads that were good before are fantastic now! She powers through the kneading process without straining and the dough stays in the bowl instead of climbing the hook and making a mess. I was a little concerned about the noise factor as some of the reviews I read had complained about that, but I don't find it to be excessively loud. It's a stand mixer so it's going to make some noise after all.
While I still love my little classic, I love her new big sister too! The spiral dough hook is a much more efficient design for kneading. It also comes with the standard paddle and whisk attachments which also work as expected. The 6 quart capacity and larger motor mean this mixer is equipped to handle the bigger batches of whatever I throw at it. Cookie dough, mashed potatoes, meatball mix, cake batter and, of course, bread dough have all come out great. I'm so glad I made this purchase!
