For the price this is fine for the occasional time I need to change pedals
In truth unless you happen to be a professional bike mechanic how often do you change pedals? For the price this tool is fine, it has a good long handle and fits snugly on the pedal so no slipping off and bouncing your knuckles off the chain ring! I have a few bikes but still won't change pedals more than 3-4 times a year, I expect this tool to last me a very long time.

Bought for general town riding on a hybrid bike and do the job of stopping the bike and my 14 stone bulk efficiently.
I cycle regularily and own a number of bikes, I bought these to use on a hybrid which currently has cantilever brakes, I find they stop the bike efficiently even on steeper hills despite the fact that I am over six foot and14 stone, I would imagine they would perform equaly if not slightly better if used in conjunction with V brakes. For the price they do a decent job. Not much else one can say about a little rubber pad, though you don't want to ride without them!
