Effective & cheap minimalist protection.
Effective & cheap minimalist protection.
Only a small amount of padding on the top, none on the sides. May be all that's required, depending on your particular hazards.
Flexible & breathable, with customisable fit.

Good deal, came as described
This is a good deal on a good laptop that came as described. Not had a chance to really test its limits, but it's somewhere between mid- and high-range in terms of power. Check out the professional reviews like I did before I bought it. I am here chiefly to remark that there were no nasty surprises re. damage. It was, indeed, just the box that was damaged.
Re. Ebay's annoying yes/no questions: it asks me to say yes/no to "Is it lightweight?" Well, that depends. For my purposes, a power PC that I mostly use at home, it's a reasonable weight for what it can do and how I use it. For a laptop that you walk around with every day, no, not at all. If I was just doing Zoom and Office, I would get something much cheaper and lighter.
Speaking of Office, this laptop has a really decent keyboard. Also worth mentioning that the screen is super-nice. There's a more expensive (and battery-hungry) OLED version of this line of Envys, but I don't feel I'm missing out.
