NodeMcu Lua WIFI Internet Things development Board Based ESP8266 CP2102 Arduino

    First Arduino Device
It was recommended that I get hold of an Arduino device to program. Looking around there is plenty to choose from but as I'm interested in the Internet of Things the type of devices like the one here looked interesting. So I got one. There are plenty of websites to help you get started and it really wasn't very long before I had uploaded to this Nodemcu board the basic Blink sketch to flash the LED. Then attaching my own LED via GPIO I could flash that. Then using Blynk in my mobile phone I could do that over WiFi. That's cool. Then after reading more I thought I'd connect a DS18B20 thermometer I have that I have used with a Raspberry Pi. This was a little harder but in the end I found the right code and it worked. Now this device is sitting in my summer house connected to the network and beaming temperatures over to Thingspeak and they are plotting the readings for me that I can read anywhere on my mobile. Amazing! So I would recommend this Nodemc Lua ESP8266 board to anyone wanting to try IoT out. I love it.

    Header for Pi
Just great. Two ways to put headers onto the Pi. One for HATS the other for space saving.
