Superb introduction to RF engineering
The only downside of this book is the huge price. Don't expect this to be about planar microwave engineering, it covers a vast range of RF engineering. It's very readable, but also don't expect deep and detailed coverage of everything. Some areas of work only get half a page, BUT that is enough to give you a handle on what to look up for the deep detail. Tom doesn't avoid the deep maths, but he explains it very accessibly. Best book on RF tech that I've read.
