Persevere and you will find gold.
The last two chapters make the whole book worthwhile. I would suggest, read those first, as it puts the rest of the book into wonderful perspective: otherwise you can feel a bit like being told off and you will never be good enough. The principles of the book are challenging, and there is a lot to be taken away and considered and valued in a world where these ideas are counter cultural. However, it is important to note, that everyone’s story is different and the book has a prescriptive tone which could be off putting. But if you persevere, there is some gold in there. Although, I have struggled to work out, how a woman character described throughout the book is entirely biblical against stories of Ruth and Naomi, Mary, to name a few and proverbs 31. However, as I said, the closing chapters are excellent.
