Clarify the release of the movie you desire to avoid surprises
1 of 1 found this helpful Be careful. There are at least 3 versions of the movie in home video circulation / release. The original version released in Italy (155 min, likely rated R). The international version released in USA and other places (121 min, rated PG). This is the version most reviewed and the one that won the academy award for best foreign film in 1989. Then there is "The New Version" (also sometimes labeled Director's Cut; but a misnomer as the original release was the Director's Cut). This latter release is 173 min and Rated R. A majority of the material in the "New Version" occurs late in the film and revolves around a love story the teenager has with a local, forbidden girl and then rediscovers when he returns for the funeral. Almost a sequel. The cover as shown here in most listings has different content with slightly different back covers. One a release of just the New Version (barcode 031398139362). Another has both the New and International (Academy Award) Version (barcode 786936204018).

A modern update to the previously Bank published histories
This book is a more readable, modern update to the previously published bank history of 1932 (updated, 2nd edition in 1955) entitled "Hoare's Bank A Record 1673-1932". Still includes the genealogy chart of the old put brings it to more current status. Discusses the founding and some family lines through the years. The only more interesting source on the family proper is Sir Richard Colt Hoare's original 1819 manuscript "Pedigrees and memoirs of the families of Hore, of Rushford, co. Devon; Hoare of Walton, co. Bucks; Hoare, of London, co. Middlesex; Hoare, of Mitcham, co. Surrey; Hoare, of Stourton, co. Wilts.; Hoare, of Barn-Elms, co. Surrey; Hoare, of Boreham, Essex" of which only 25 were printed and very few libraries have a copy of. Many color illustrations. Coffee table book style printing with heavy weight, glossed pages. When found at a good deal, this can be a worthwhile book that gives a slice of history through England of the last 350+ years and about the oldest bank still in operation (yes, predates the Bank of England).
