Top of the Flex panel range FX100+
2 of 2 found this helpful The Flex plus FX100+ control panel is Honeywell's top of the range for domestic installation. At this point in time the V3.51 firmware has reached a level of maturity that makes this panel a great choice for home installation. Take care not to buy older versions that have issues and the non plus versions that have less capability. Eg. FX100+ has 128 links and the 100 only has 5. The panel can have additional boards installed internally to expand its capabilities. The A083 Ethernet board can be added to provide event reporting and app control from services like SelfMon or Honeywell's own push notification service, although it's somewhat limited in capability. A GSM module can also be added for dual path capability. RF portals can be added both internally and externally if required, adding wireless sensors, RF remotes and panic buttons. Outputs can be expanded with a trigger module and zones and outputs can be expanded by adding up to an additional 11 RIO modules. RIO"s can be powered or unpowered devices. The '+' plus range are grade 3 panels, with the option of selecting grade 2 at startup. Firmware updates and programming with RSS can be performed using the onboard usb port, with remote programming also being possible using Ethernet or GSM. The panel has onboard pstn telecoms, although with the advantages of IP based Comms, this is something that's used very little these days. In all, an excellent panel for domestic install. Coupled with the apps and SelfMon DIY monitoring, the FX100+ will offer great peace of mind at an excellent price point.

Use for Galaxy Flex panels
A reliable module for use with the Flex range of panels. The -10 is Linux based, so takes a bit longer to boot than the -02 module. No reliability issues like the older -01 modules had.

The venerable Galaxy Dimension range
Excellent panels. Robust, with reliable linear power supply. A massive 520 zones to cover all security and home automation needs. Best accompanied with RSS software for programming and Honeywell or SelfMon apps for remote control and self monitoring.
